About the role:

Our client in Wolverhampton is a dedicated organisation committed to providing vital practical and emotional support to women and children who have faced domestic abuse, along with offering assistance to women at risk of homelessness. This compassionate team plays a crucial role in helping individuals rebuild their lives and fostering a supportive community. Currently, we are in search of an experienced Security Officer to join this impactful team. The successful candidate will contribute to the organisation’s mission by ensuring a secure environment, leveraging their expertise to safeguard the well-being of those in need.


Hours of Work:

Four-on Four-off night shift pattern between the hours of 21:30 – 08:00, an average of 42 hours per week over 3.5 days.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using a company vehicle to conduct regular patrols to other sites in the vicinity
  • Monitor and maintain the security of the premises, including conducting regular foot patrols.
  • Monitoring CCTV cameras ensuring a timely response to any incidents
  • Handle access control procedures including verifying identification
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all security incidents, including alarms, emergencies, and potential threats.
  • Taking deliveries of items
  • Report any suspicious activities, hazards, or violations of security protocols to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and evacuation protocols, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, security checks, and any relevant information.
  • Collaborate with the wider security team and other departments to uphold a safe and secure environment.



  • A full UK Manual driving licence.
  • A valid SIA Front Line Licence
  • Previous experience in a similar security role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail, ensuring all security protocols are followed.
  • A proactive and vigilant approach to security, with the ability to assess and respond to potential risks.
  • A professional and customer-oriented mindset, dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
